How to install Zabbix Agent 3.4 ?

A native Zabbix agent, developed in C language, may run on various supported platforms, including Linux, UNIX and Windows, and collect data such as CPU, memory, disk and network interface usage from a device. How to install Zabbix Agent 3.4 ?

Red Hat Enterprise Linux / CentOS

Install the repository configuration package. This package contains yum (software package manager) configuration files.

RHEL 7

RHEL 6

RHEL 5

 

Debian / Ubuntu

Official Zabbix packages are available for:

  • Debian 9 (Stretch)
  • Debian 8 (Jessie)
  • Debian 7 (Wheezy)
  • Ubuntu 18.04 (Bionic Beaver) LTS
  • Ubuntu 16.04 (Xenial Xerus) LTS
  • Ubuntu 14.04 (Trusty Tahr) LTS

Debian 9

For Debian 9, run the commands:

Note! For Debian 8, substitute ‘stretch’ with ‘jessie’ in the commands. For Debian 7, substitute ‘stretch’ with ‘wheezy’ in the commands

Ubuntu 18.04

For Ubuntu 18.04 (bionic) :

  • For Ubuntu 16.04, substitute ‘bionic’ with ‘xenial’ in the commands.
  • For Ubuntu 14.04, substitute ‘bionic’ with ‘trusty’ in the commands.

Windows

For Windows 7/8/10 and Server 2008, 2012 and 2016, i use the MSI Package from : http://www.suiviperf.com/zabbix/index.php
